Responsibilities for the Senior Financial Systems Analyst:

  • Assist in the design and development of new data repositories and reporting tools that will be used to organize, analyze and report the firm's financial data
  • Leverage existing tools (e.g. Microsoft Office/VBA, Tableau, Workday) to optimize existing business processes, pain points, and reporting
  • Plan, manage and execute the functional testing of new systems and enhancements to existing systems
  • Develop key knowledge of specific financial workflows, working collaboratively with business process owners to identify and prioritize system and process improvements
  • Recommend modifications to established practices and procedures; create/enhance technical documentation for applications
  • Partner with IT in the implementation and support of finance-related technology projects and initiatives
  • Manage targeted projects from initiation through execution and delivery
Requirements for the Senior Financial Systems Analyst:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Major in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • An MBA or CPA is considered a plus
  • 10+ years' in application development
  • 5+ years' experience in a systems role supporting Finance departments
  • Experience working with packaged financial software applications and/or data warehouse solutions preferred
  • Expert knowledge of Access, Excel, and VBA required
  • Hands-on knowledge of SQL and relational database technology
  • Demonstrated experience in formal software development methodologies
  • Proven ability to rapidly learn existing applications
  • Strong project management/project methodology and delivery skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Technology savvy with a strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
