KNF&T Staffing Resources is excited to announce Bianca Cruz as our second quarter winner for KNF&T’s 2019 Staffing Employee of the Year contest.
Before leaving her home-state, Florida, and making a permanent move to Boston, Bianca worked in content marketing. Career-wise, the move wasn’t difficult, as she was able to work remotely and keep her content marketing role. However, she quickly realized that working from home didn’t allow her to explore and take full advantage of the city of Boston. She wanted more out of her career. Luckily, her roommate had great experiences working with KNF&T and quickly referred her to start looking for other jobs.
Upon her first meeting at KNF&T, Bianca notes, “Everyone was very pleasant, and the front desk receptionist was extremely nice and welcoming. We reviewed my resume and what I was looking for in a job.” Bianca added, “One thing that really sold me on KNF&T was my recruiter’s immediate openness when it came to salary. She explained that Boston was a more expensive area than where I was from in Florida and that she was going to find me a position with a higher salary to account for my cost of living. She had a lot of integrity and I could tell that she was advocating for me and my best interest.”
Her consultant, Liz, worked with Bianca throughout her job search and had regular check-ins where they spoke about new job openings and interview opportunities. “Liz was very receptive of me being interested in various types of positions and always presented me with options across the board,” Bianca said. “She never gave me anything that was way out of left field. She did a great job catering to what I was really asking for.”
Bianca has held a few contract roles with KNF&T. Currently, she works as a Data Entry Operator at a university, allowing her to work in a field that interests her the most – academic administration.
“The team that I’m working for now is fantastic. They treat me as more than a temp employee – they have really created a nurturing environment where they are invested in polishing my skills and furthering my career. Also, my duties are everchanging, which I love,” Bianca commented.
Her consultant, Liz, noted: “Bianca has been unwaveringly dependable. Her communication is outstanding. Her managers have given her high praise, especially for her ability to work independently. She is supportive of all those around her, and especially thoughtful when it comes to her work ethic and quality.”
Bianca concluded, “Liz is the most enthusiastic staffing agent that I have worked with and she always presents me with great options. I came to Boston in hopes of getting familiarized with a new city and, with KNF&T’s help, I was also able to get many career experiences – something I might not have been exposed to if it weren’t for KNF&T.”
Bianca resides in Chelsea, MA and graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 2015.
