KNF&T Staffing Resources is excited to announce Keryn Moriarty as the third quarter winner for our 2019 Staffing Employee of the Year contest.
Keryn first came to KNF&T Staffing Resources as a junior at Emmanuel College when she was looking for a job that would fit around her class schedule. She had heard about KNF&T through a positive experience from one of her peers and decided to try us for herself.
Within a few days of contacting KNF&T, a recruiter reached out to Keryn and invited her into the office for an interview to discuss her experience. Keryn noted, “I sat down with their consultant, Irene, and discussed my skillset and what I was looking for in a job. She was very helpful. She took my resume in the meeting and, after we said goodbye, she quickly sent my resume out to hiring managers.”
Keryn was amazed at how easy it was to work with a staffing firm. “Working with Irene was seamless,” she noted. “She was great and immediately presented me with job opportunities. I started with a one-day mailroom assignment, then had a week-long assignment at a hot tech startup, followed by a three-month assignment with a well-known company. I especially liked the three-month assignment because I was able to work from home every day, which was perfect for me.”
Throughout her assignments, Keryn heard from Irene consistently as Irene wanted to ensure everything was going well. Whether it was through email or phone calls, Irene always followed up with Keryn to make sure her experience was positive.
And when KNF&T was on the hunt for an internal Compliance Coordinator, Irene was able to quickly identify Keryn as a qualified candidate. She knew Keryn had an impressive work ethic and sharp skillset from all of the positive feedback she received on assignments, making Keryn the right fit for our internal role. Keryn reflects, “The way that Irene always kept me in mind for open jobs blew me away. She and her team are so personal and are always thinking of their candidates. It was really nice to experience. I was ecstatic to hear that they wanted me to be a part of their team.”
Keryn accepted KNF&T’s job offer as soon as she heard about it and has loved the role entirely. She notes, “One of my favorite tasks to do is paperwork, and there is a lot of paperwork involved in being a Compliance Coordinator. I absolutely love it. Plus, everybody at KNF&T is nice, welcoming, and accommodating. Because of that, I always look forward to coming into work.”
Her consultant, Irene, notes: “In Keryn’s short time working in our division she has impressed us with her strong diligence, superb attitude, and professional behavior. You can often find her among the early-arriving staff members, completing time-sensitive compliance tasks and continually asking what more she can do to help. While there’s a great amount of work to do, Keryn breezes through tasks with positivity and ease, rising to the level of intricacy and finishing them flawlessly. The entire staff has commented that Keryn is a wonderful addition to the department.”
Keryn concluded, “As an economics major, I had no idea what I wanted to do after graduating. However, the experiences I’ve had through KNF&T have helped me hone in on what I’d like to pursue in my career. Working with KNF&T has been a terrific experience overall. I know first-hand that they truly put their candidates’ needs first, and I am so happy to now be a part of their team!”
Keryn resides in Boston, MA and is now a Senior at Emmanuel College.
