KNF&T Employee Honored as a Finalist in MSA’s Staffing Employee of the Year Awards

KNF&T is proud to announce that our temporary employee, Bernice Anderson, was honored this week as a finalist in the Massachusetts Staffing Association (MSA) Staffing Employee of the Year Awards.

MSA’s Staffing Employee of the Year Awards provide the opportunity to honor a select group of staffing employees that are the heart and soul of our industry. We are so thrilled that Bernice was among these outstanding finalists.

Her story starts in West Africa where she was born. At the young age of four, she moved to America and has been working toward her best life. Currently, she is in school earning a degree and, as a means to help fund her education, she began contract work through KNF&T.

Bernice worked a few different jobs, and appreciated the choices she had in her placements. But this is best said in Bernice’s own words: “Throughout my time contracting, I didn’t just do front desk work. I also did events and other jobs where I met new people. I was put in situations I wouldn’t have been in otherwise, which allowed me to make new connections, and I liked how diverse the companies were.”

Through temp work, Bernice was not only able to help pay for school but she was also able to gain the professional skills and work experience needed to succeed in the workforce. In fact, she became so great that a two week contract position as a receptionist ended in her being asked to join the company full time.  They simply loved her.

The epitome of flexibility, Bernice is balancing both work and school with an effortless grace as she works toward her degree. Bernice lives in Weymouth, MA and is expecting her degree in May, 2018. We are very proud of Bernice and excited for her future… congratulations on being named an MSA finalist!
