Last week, KNF&T was proud to be a sponsor of the Dress for Success 4th Annual “Celebrate Self-Sufficiency” Awards Luncheon at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. The Luncheon honored companies and individuals who have supported the organization through the years, and featured keynote speaker Julie Kahn, Executive Vice President at Regan Communications.
Julie riveted the attendees as she spoke about her experience as a struggling single mother in Detroit, who worked her way to become the first woman sports announcer for radio stations like WAAF. As one of Boston Magazine’s “50 Most Powerful Women in Boston”, it was both inspiring and humbling to hear her perspective and understand why Dress for Success is such an important cause for local women.
KNF&T’s philanthropic mission is assisting women and children in transition, something especially important to us as a woman-owned organization. We are inspired by organizations like Dress for Success, whose mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools to help them thrive in work and in life.
If you’d like to get involved too, there are various options on the Dress for Success website.
